Thank you for installing our browser extension. Protecting your data is important to us. This privacy policy informs you about how we handle your data in connection with the use of this extension.

1. No Transmission of Personal Data to the Developer

We would like to explicitly emphasize that this browser extension does not collect or transmit any personal data about your browsing behavior, visited websites, or entered information to us as the developer. Your privacy remains fully protected.

2. Retrieval of Blacklists

The functionality of this browser extension requires the regular retrieval of blacklists to identify and warn you about fradulent/potential dangerous content (e.g., fakeshops). During this retrieval process, your anonymized IP address is temporarily transmitted to the server from which the blacklists are obtained.

3. Storage of the Anonymized IP Address

The anonymized IP address is used exclusively for the purpose of retrieving and providing the blocklists. It is stored for a maximum period of 28 days and then automatically deleted. A combination of this anonymized data with other data or an identification of your person is not possible for us and will not be carried out by us.

4. No Storage of Browsing Behavior or Other Data

We would like to reiterate that the extension does not store any data about your browsing behavior, visited websites, search queries, entered forms, or similar information locally on your device or transmit it to external servers, including our own.

5. Transparency and Your Rights

Since we do not process any personal data from you within the meaning of the GDPR, you do not have any direct rights (e.g., access, rectification, erasure) against us in this regard. However, you have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed, even if the answer is that no such data is being processed ("right to negative information").
